How to Get Perfect Red Lips

Red lips are timelessly hot... but tricky. Getting the perfect red lip without smearing it or getting it on your teeth seems like a hard task that only the smartest makeup artists can accomplish. But it's not as tricky and complicated as you think.

1. Make sure your lips are clean.

Wash it with water and soap, exfoliate it and pat dry it with a towel. Clean lips are a must if you want this red lip look to work.

2. Contour your lips.

You can use a red lip pencil or your own red lipstick. I recommend that you use your own red lipstick, so your lips look the perfect shade. You can contour your lips by directly drawing the lips contour with the tip of your red lipstick, or using a lip brush to do so.

3. Fill in your lips.

After your lips are completely outlined the way you want it, just fill in your lips with your red lipstick.

4. Suck your finger.

I know it sounds weird, but in order to make sure there's no lipstick on your teeth, lick your teeth and suck your index finger.

5. Blot off the excess lipstick with a tissue.

After doing all this, you are ready with perfect red lips.

Great look for school

Great look for school

At an event, the star of Carrie's remake, Chloë Moretz, showed up with a lovely and natural makeup look that's just perfect for school. How to do it? Let us tell you:

1. Prep your skin

If you want your makeup to look perfect, you have to start with deeply clean skin. So wash your face well with a good face wash and massage your face. If needed, you can lightly exfoliate your skin.

2. Do your canvas

Now you've properly cleansed your skin, it's time to do your canvas. Apply a bit of face moisturiser on your face and let your skin absorb it. After it, you can dot a bit of foundation on cheeks, forehead, chin, nose bridge and under-eye area.

Then, you can finish patting a bit of face powder all over your face and under your eye-area to minimize under-eye darkness as much as possible.

Instead of a foundation, you can use a tinted moisturiser if you like.

Finish your complexion look with a bit of light peachy blush on the apples of your cheeks.

3. Eyes

Now for the eyes. Make sure your eyebrows are properly plucked and brushed.

Apply a little bit of light grey eyeshadow on your eyelids. Then, smudge it a little bit with your fingertips.

Then, apply a bit of dark brown or black mascara.

4. Lips

To finish the look, apply a little bit of a rosy nude lipstick.
